Paul Schimelman- Production Choreographer
Paul originally hails from NYC, making him a "damned Yankee", but he's been a part of the Texas scene long enough that he can claim adoption status (although he still finds the football and hunting "gods" unfathomable). His roots into stage combat come from a lifetime involvement with martial arts and fencing. He is an accredited fencing coach as well as stage combat instructor and works at the college level with both disciplines, helping students grow using conflict and chaos as tools of passion. Paul has contributed to many of the mainstage, independent, and educational productions since he came to the area in the 1990's, and he considers it a distinct privilege to get paid for playing with cool toys and making others have fun doing it, too.
